Take a butchers at the new kid on the block
Family-run The Meat Factory opened the doors to its new Montrose Avenue base in January and already its meat packs are proving popular with new and existing customers.

Tony Henderson began working as a butcher aged 15 with his dad and after nearly 50 years in the business, he now works alongside his own son Anthony who will take on more responsibility as he approaches retirement.

The Meat Factory, which has a host of wholesale customers across Scotland including restaurants, bars, care homes and hotels, supplies quality meat products at affordable prices.

With a plan in place that will see an increase in staff and expansion of the retail side of the business, Tony and Anthony felt moving to Hillington Park would support that growth.

Tony said: “Moving into our new premises on Hillington Park reflects our ambitions and vision for the future. We wanted to be located more centrally and the Park is the ideal place for us. Not only does it have people living and working nearby, but the motorway being so close is perfect for our daily deliveries across the Central belt and beyond.

“Since we opened earlier in the year we’ve been steadily growing our new regular customer base which is great. Our deals, whether it be the four for £10 or slimming packs, are proving extremely popular so this is an area we would like to focus on. Our main goal is to continue to grow our retail business by offering something different whilst maintaining our long and steady wholesale customers.”
