Global Logistics Business Is On The Move
A global logistics company which has seen its Scottish operations expand over the last five years has moved into the Innovation Centre as a result of its growth.

Bollore Logistics, a French transportation company with offices across the world, is a leading group in freight forwarding and logistics, and since 2016 the Glasgow team has secured a number of blue chip companies as clients.

This recent growth has led Bollore, which was previously based on the Park within John G Russell’s premises, to move into a larger office of its own and double its staff numbers.

The company operate in many areas including industrial and manufacturing as well as retail, aerospace and healthcare, with specific expertise in Africa and the East Asia.

Plans are also afoot to build its presence in the healthcare sector making more use of the company’s Heathrow Airport cargo hub specifically made for the pharmaceutical industry with temperature controlled areas and specialist quarantine and hazardous product zones.

Jason Sanders, Business Unit Head, Bollore said: “Moving into our own office in the Innovation Centre is an exciting development for our team. We wanted to be based on Hillington Park for a number of reasons. The location is key as it’s so close to the airport and as we were already established here we wanted our move to be as seamless as possible for our staff. However, our main reason was we feel that the best people in our industry are based here. Freight forwarding and logistics has a long history on the Park and we felt that the skillset we need and can tap into is right here.

“Originally the Glasgow office was a support for network purposes and we didn’t actively go into the locally controlled market and let companies know what we can do. When we started doing this, we began to attract new clients and this natural growth strategy has been a tremendous success for us.”

Nicolle McKibben, Senior Surveyor at Hillington Park added: “Bollore recognise the value of high quality, modern, serviced accommodation that allows them to concentrate on building their expanding business. Hillington Park has a large transport and logistics industry cluster which fits perfectly with their business.

“We will soon be starting some refurbishment of the Innovation Centre which will result in the creation of larger office space to meet increasing demand.”
