As we aim to adapt to working in both this very disruptive and fast changing time, our main priority is the safety and well-being of all our occupiers, staff and their families. From last week, we introduced strict measures in line with UK government advice and introduced new hygiene, social distancing and pre-meeting screening protocols in all our workplaces as well as finding new ways to operate remotely. The facilities management teams are working shift patterns in between the office and home. They are still fully contactable on all the usual phone numbers: https://www.hillingtonpark.com/contact/.
Finally we would like to express our sympathies to everyone who has been affected and continues to be affected by the COVID-19 virus. We would also like to show our support to the key workers including doctors, nurses and teachers who are working tirelessly across the country.
What’s your role and what’s your average day like?
As Estate Manager I head up the facilities team looking after the Park. A lot of the day is spent liaising with contractors on our works and maintenance programme within the multi-tenanted buildings. I also spend a lot of time answering questions from tenants located across the estate.
What do you like about working at Hillington Park?
The estate is well known for the variety of businesses in different sectors located in one place and that makes it interesting.
What’s the best advice you have ever received?
If someone asks you a question, and you don’t know the answer, find out and get back to them. As they have asked, it means you should know.
What’s your proudest moment?
Watching my son play his first gig after completing his guitar music performance course.
Favourite film and book?
Ice Cold in Alex and The Brethren Trilogy by Robyn Young
How do you relax?
By jumping out of aircraft! At weekends I’m a tandem parachute instructor so I help train people who want to be parachutists.
