As we aim to adapt to working in both this very disruptive and fast changing time, our main priority is the safety and well-being of all our occupiers, staff and their families. Formed in 1954, Elite Contract Furniture has moved into a factory and showroom on Earl Haig Road of almost 16,000sq ft.
The company, which employs 17 skilled staff, currently produces high quality products for the hospitality, care and education sectors as well as selling direct to the public through retailers and its own showroom located at the new premises.
Greg Winston from Elite Contract Furniture said: “This is an important move as we grow our manufacturing capabilities. Last year the business grew its turnover by double digits and we needed a new unit that would accommodate our current and future requirements. Hillington Park fitted that description as it has excellent transport links to our customers across the country, is a hive of activity and is known throughout Scotland.
“Last year we trained our first ever apprentice in woodworking and we have plans to recruit more. We are also developing a range of environmentally friendly products as our business is a socially responsible company so there is lots to look forward to at Hillington Park.”
