Alpress is a Cut Above the Rest
Engineers at a long established supplier of industrial hydraulic cutting presses are celebrating following the completion of the latest industry training programme.

The staff at Alpress on Atholl Avenue, who are experts in the diagnosis and repair of every type of hydraulic cutting press, are now 17th edition and fully PAT tested bringing added skills to their customers in the textiles, gasket, foam, medical and food & drinks industries.

Victoria Aitken from Alpress said: “Training is essential for our engineering staff to make sure they are at the forefront of our industry.  For over 30 years we’ve been supplying and maintaining a range of the cutting machines, hydraulic presses and waste recycling equipment to customers all over the UK.”

Formed in 1983, Alpress employs six staff and is one of the UK’s experts in the supply of new, used and refurbished presses serving industry as well as equipment that allows companies to reduce their waste, meet government legislation and work towards a zero waste policy.  Alpress was purchased by Caledonian Industries in 2013.

Victoria explained: “We are keen to work closer to home by supplying, maintaining and servicing a large range of waste recycling equipment to companies based at Hillington Park.  Our balers and compactors help businesses reduce the volumes of their general waste and recyclable material, improving the environment impact at the same time.

“Our location at Hillington Park is perfect for us to travel to and from our customer base all over the UK.”
