SWARCO UK & Ireland, the leading intelligent traffic solution and technology provider, has opened its new state-of-the-art Glasgow-based facility and is the latest arrival on Hillington Park’s West 100 & 200 scheme, having relocated from its previous location in the east of Glasgow.
Headquartered in Austria, the international business of SWARCO develops, installs and manages a range of intelligent traffic management systems, transport telematics, signage and traffic signals across the country.
The SWARCO team at Hillington Park specialise in the design of market-leading Variable Message Signs and installation of commercial EV charging infrastructure from the impressive 12,562 sq ft unit. The new premises will also benefit from a 9,900 sq. ft yard.
Maurice Coll, Regional Operations Manager from SWARCO Scotland said: “Our business is growing quickly across a number of transport-related areas so it was important that we found a new, modern facility that would accommodate that expansion. We also wanted to be at the heart of industry in Scotland and Hillington Park’s location gives us good access to our customers by being close to the M8 and the wider motorway network. As well as having a large warehouse we also have facilities to support our team’s skills in developing specialist traffic signage and hosting our customers here.”
