Tea company brews up international business
A Scottish tea company which sells to over 34 countries including one the of the largest tea producers in the world has moved onto the Park

Jenier World of Teas offers a huge range of high quality teas and since the business was established in 2009 it has expanded significantly. It now stocks over 250 teas from fruit and herbal to more traditional flavours.

Founded by Doug and Anita Clark, Jenier World of Teas has moved into a space on Earl Haig Road where the products are packaged and sent out to food service industries across the globe.
The company sells all over the world including India, Turkey, China, South Africa, Sweden, Netherlands, France, Australia, Israel and Canada, and sends around 52 tonnes to wholesale customers.

Inspired by tea pioneering Scots such as Robert Fortune, James Taylor, Robert Bruce and the famous Tommy Lipton, Anita from Renfrewshire wanted to honour the pivotal role Scotland has played in the industry whilst doing a job she loved.

Anita said: “I have always had an interest in tea. I love drinking it and trying out different flavours and as I learned more about the amazing influence Scotland has had on the world tea, I became totally enthralled and inspired to start an e-commerce tea business that would provide customers with ethically sourced, high quality products and be a centre of information about all aspects of tea.

“Since setting up the company we have grown significantly and we now supply to hotels, restaurants and herbal shops. We also have regular orders to other countries which we’re delighted with. Selling abroad has been an area that has expanded steadily for us throughout the years and has played a huge part in our growth.”

The business now blends its own teas creating unique ranges including Gin and Tonic, Whisky and a host of other flavours.

Anita added: “We want to continue to grow and develop by coming up with new ranges that our customers will enjoy. We have orders leaving us every day so being based somewhere with great transport links was very important to us. Hillington Park was ideal with the nearby M8, it’s a lovely environment to be in, it’s convenient for the team and our unit is not only fit for purpose but allows us room for future expansion.”
