Fuglesangs UK Ltd, a subsidiary of GR Fuglesangs and Sonner Company based in Oslo, provides pumps and specialist sealing products and services for the pumps and process equipment sector in the UK. One of their main representations is Chesterton International headquartered in Massachusetts

The business, which was set up in 2009 as a local company to serve customers in Scotland, now employs nine staff at Hillington Park having expanded to provide its expertise to the whole of the UK, and is already looking to establish an office near London.

Alan Evans, Director and General Manager of Fuglesangs UK Ltd said: “We’re a very ambitious business and want to become a premier supplier of our specific pump and coating products and technologies to the onshore and offshore industries we serve in the UK. Being based at Hillington Park, alongside the M8 and close to Glasgow International Airport, will help us achieve that.”

Fuglesangs UK Ltd’s customers operate in many areas including manufacturing, distilleries, chemical processing and power generation. Also benefitting from the company’s expertise are the water/wastewater treatment, pulp and paper, marine, oil and gas and offshore/subsea markets.

Alan explains: “We are currently planning significant growth, not only in regards to turnover, but in the number of employees to provide service and support to our customer base. We are also working with some new and very innovative Subsea technologies that we believe will make us a leader in this growing and developing field.”

Being based at Hillington Park, Fuglesangs UK has easy access to the motorway network providing easy access to its customers’ sites and plants around Scotland and south of the border. The ability to transport large equipment to its unit for repair and refurbishment as required adds to the company’s efficient customer service. Close proximity to Glasgow International Airport means that visiting staff and customers are within minutes of the company’s premises when they land.

Alan added: “GR Fuglesangs and Sonner Company of Oslo was founded in 1855 and is still family owned. Hans Peter Fuglesangs is the fourth generation owner and Chairman of the five companies in the Fuglesangs group. Although 74 years of age, he still, with his son Alexander Fuglesang, works every day, supporting and inspiring all of the staff.
