Construction company is building for the future
There is a longstanding tradition of apprentices starting their career with businesses on the Park which is still evident today.

Hillington Park Headquartered Construction and fit out company, Pacific Building, recently celebrated as one of its young trainees were named Carpentry and Joinery Apprentice of the Year at Glasgow Clyde College.

Conner Skea, has just completed his first year at the college’s Anniesland campus and was presented with a shield and medal during the prize-giving ceremony.

Connor said: “I love working with Pacific – it’s a great place to learn and the team of guys around me are all brilliant. To have won this award is a real surprise, and it has made me so proud. And I would like to see it as a tribute to the professionalism of all the guys who help me every day at work. The experience I have gained has been excellent – and I look forward to more good times in the months and years ahead.”

Pacific Managing Director Brian Gallacher said: “Connor is a credit to Pacific and to himself. To have won the Apprentice of the Year award from such a large student population is quite something. As a company, we pride ourselves in the investments we make in training and people – not to mention futures. The evidence is there for all to see that we are reaping the rewards of that approach. Well done, Connor.”
