The jobs, a mixture of new and existing, follow the relocation of Clyde Group to Seaforth House, and the arrivals of Peter Vardy and Kibble to the Park.
Clyde Group, a company that provides services to the marine industry, has undergone sizeable growth in the last five years and brings a team of 96 members of staff to the Park. Made up of various subsidiaries, Clyde Group supplies to the marine, commercial, industrial, recruitment, travel and marine sectors.
With locations across Scotland and England, the award winning Clyde Group believe moving to Hillington Park will aid its continued growth, and allow the business to expand its services even further.
Joyce Downie, Managing Director, Clyde Group, said: “The Group has steadily grown since a management buy-out in 2008, with the addition of new companies such as Clyde Safety. Our turnover and profit has continued to rise over the last five years which is a remarkable achievement given the tough economic climate, and this move to Hillington Park is one that we hope will help us to expand even further.
“We looked closely at our staff footprint and accessibility of any new premises and Seaforth House best suited our needs. It provides staff with parking and excellent public transport options, and this, together with the fact that our Directors recognised Hillington Park as a development and area on the rise with an eye on the future, reflected the aspirations of The Clyde Group and made our choice an easy one.”
Peter Vardy opened its new flagship ‘Carstore’ at the Park this year, creating seventy jobs in the process.
The enormous new facility, at the M8 entrance to the Park, is home to 400 pre-owned cars which are displayed indoors in a heated showroom.
Kibble, Scotland’s national specialist provider of services for young people, have agreed a deal to move onto the Park later this year, bringing with them 20 permanent jobs and 20 training positions for young people.
Jamie Cumming, Commercial Director, Hillington Park added: “Our plans for Hillington Park include attracting ambitious local and national companies and organisations, and we are thrilled that in the last few months, we have done exactly that. We are already home to around 500 businesses employing over 6000 people, and we are delighted that the companies arriving on the Park are bringing jobs with them.”
