COVID-19 Update
Here at Hillington Park, we aim to keep business moving forward during this difficult time and remain fully committed to providing an ongoing service to clients across all areas of our business. We will be reviewing and monitoring developments continuously, and finding new ways to collaborate with our colleagues and customers across the globe.

As we aim to adapt to working in both this very disruptive and fast changing time, our main priority is the safety and well-being of all our occupiers, staff and their families. From last week, we introduced strict measures in line with UK government advice and introduced new hygiene, social distancing and pre-meeting screening protocols in all our workplaces as well as finding new ways to operate remotely. The facilities management teams are working shift patterns in between the office and home. They are still fully contactable on all the usual phone numbers:

Finally we would like to express our sympathies to everyone who has been affected and continues to be affected by the COVID-19 virus. We would also like to show our support to the key workers including doctors, nurses and teachers who are working tirelessly across the country.
New arrival is the wheel deal
The thriving automotive business cluster at Hillington Park continues to grow with the announcement of its latest addition.

The Wheel Specialist, an expert alloy wheel refurbishment and customisation business, has opened in a 5000 sqft unit with a yard in Watt Road following its relocation from East Kilbride. The ambitious business is already looking at future expansion plans having moved to Hillington Park in September 2018.

The company, which is part of a UK-wide wheel refurbishment franchise, provides services to trade, directly to consumers and regularly welcomes customers in the west of Scotland from as far south as Dumfries to the Isle of Skye in the north.

Colin Smith from The Wheel Specialist said: “We’ve invested heavily recently in the very latest technology and equipment including powder coating ovens, a diamond cut machine and state of the art paint stripping equipment that uses eco-friendly chemicals.  We were the first wheel refurbishment company in Scotland to upgrade to an automated shotblaster which significantly reduces the time required to complete work, which of course is good news for our customers.

“The team we have is highly experienced and since moving to Hillington Park we have seen business grow to the point that we will soon be looking to recruit.

“The high number of businesses in the automotive sector already based here made moving to Hillington Park from East Kilbride an easy decision.  Many of our customers were already close by and the links to the motorway network means that they can reach us and we can reach them easily and quickly.  Location was at the top of our list when it came to deciding where our new facility would be.”

Glen Spearing, Senior Asset Manager at Hillington Park said: “Our vibrant automotive industry cluster continues to attract businesses, a point reflected in how quickly this unit was let to The Wheel Specialist after the previous occupier moved out.

“Demand for units in the 5-10,000 sqft range has been very strong and we are planning further refurbishments and developments in 2019 to deliver more lettable space and meet the market’s demands.”
