National Charity moves into 66,000 sq ft premises on Hillington Park
KibbleWorks, the employment and training arm of Kibble, Scotland’s national specialist provider of services for young people at risk, has been confirmed as the new occupiers of a 66,000sqft industrial space originally occupied by Rolls-Royce.

The deal, which will create up to twenty jobs on the Park and a further twenty training positions for young people this year, is the property owner’s at Hillington Park largest lease secured in the last 12 months and is one of the biggest, new letting agreements in Scotland in that time period.

KibbleWorks will convert the current space into a new leisure destination and training facility called ‘The Experience’, providing valuable employment and training opportunities for 16 to 24 year olds in the local area.

‘The Experience’ will include a junior and senior Go-karting arena, a Culinary Arts Centre including restaurant and training kitchen, run by one of Scotland’s Master Chefs, slot car racing, laser fun and flexible event space.

Roddy Proudfoot, Head of Asset Management from the management team at Hillington Park said: “This is one of the most exciting deals we’ve completed at Hillington Park. Kibble’s work with young people is multi-faceted and their ambition to grow as an organisation by offering something very different is something we are delighted to be able to facilitate. It also highlights the flexibility of the property portfolio on the Park and how keen we are to help all organisations achieve their goals.

“Hillington Park is one of the biggest business communities in Scotland with over 500 businesses employing over 6000 people and contributing around £340million of economic wealth every year. They come from a wide spectrum of sectors including renewables, light engineering, software design, logistics and the food & drinks industry. The addition of Kibble to this community is welcomed and we are looking forward to working with them over the coming years.”

Graham Bell, Chief Executive at Kibble said “The property in Hillington Park offers huge potential. We will convert the space to create a themed entertainment centre, with a wide range of leisure, recreation and event opportunities for families, businesses and charities. The Experience will provide fun, food and futures. The valuable employment and training opportunities it will give young people from the local area will help them secure careers in the wider leisure market, giving them a brighter future”.
