Expansion Move for IQA is a Breath of Fresh Air
When ambitious utilities services contractor, IQA Group, was on the lookout for a large, modern office and warehouse facility to match its domestic and international growth aspirations Hillington Park fitted the bill perfectly.

Having filled every corner of its previous premises in nearby Paisley, the business – which is part of the Spanish multinational, Elecnor – relocated its 150 staff to premises that provided significant scope to accommodate the business’s expansion plans and reflected on the company’s progressive approach to the expanding utilities service sector.

With offices at Hillington Park, Liverpool and Armadale, IQA employs 245 in the UK, plus its specialised subcontractors, servicing domestic clients as well as supporting international projects including Central America, South America, Africa and the Middle East.

Antonio Henarejos, Managing Director at IQA said: “We are expanding into the gas, water and fibre optic sectors by using the expertise and reputation our staff have built up in the electrical sector over a number of years.  Part of our expansion strategy was to move to modern premises that reflected our ambition and which gave us scope to grow even further and Hillington Park provided exactly that.

“Our new facilities accommodate our growing team of office based staff and the warehouse gives our large team of technical operatives significantly more space to manage the off-site services we provide to our customers.  The location is ideal too as the national motorway network gives quick and easy access to our customers based across the country.”

Stacey Clark, HR Manager at IQA Group added: “Our staff, including those who visit from our head office in Spain, have very quickly embraced the new environment that Hillington Park provides.  We are only a few miles from our previous location but the environment is completely different. Colleagues regularly go out for nice walks at lunchtime, enjoy the fresh air and the services nearby and importantly continue to use the public transport system to get to work. We’ve also started using another business on the Park to provide catering for meetings we hold in our offices.”

Grant Edmondson, Commercial Director at Hillington Park, said: “IQA Group is a very exciting business operating across the world and we’re delighted to play a part in its new phase of international expansion.  We worked hard to understand IQA’s property needs and find a solution of a separate office and warehouse extending to nearly 20,000 sq ft that met the company’s operational and budget objectives.  As majority owners of Hillington Park, Frasers Property has an extensive 2.25m sq ft portfolio so I expect we will have opportunities to facilitate IQA’s future expansion needs as well.”
