Serving drummers worldwide since 1922, Premier remain at the forefront of percussion instruments and Robert Geary Ltd buy drums direct from the manufacturer to distribute to musical instrument retailers.

The company was founded last year by Robert Geary, from Paisley, who has extensive knowledge of the marching retail sector following 12 years of working with bagpipe maker R.G Hardie & Co, as well as enjoying success as a pipe band drummer. Performing with several corps including Johnstone Pipe Band, he won the World Championship Grade 4 title in 2016.

Based on Lister Road, Robert Geary Ltd is now open for business with the unit comprising of both storage and office space. Joining Robert is his wife Caroline who works as the company secretary and with plans to expand in the next few years, the couple are excited about the future of the company.

Robert said: “I have always viewed Hillington Park as the place to be when you’re in business. It has great links to the M8, nearby train stations and Glasgow airport which makes it the perfect location for us and our customers. We received the keys in November and we’ve spent some time getting the place ready so it was exactly how we wanted to present the company to visiting suppliers and customers.

“We were delighted to secure the deal with Premier as they are a global brand known for producing some of the world’s best percussion instruments. Some of the most famous drummers in the world used Premier including Ringo Starr, Phil Collins and Keith Moon. The company’s marching drums are just as impressive and as a drummer in a pipe band, I know exactly how good they are.”
