Double time for Farmfoods expansion
Farmfoods, a popular Hillington Park retail fixture for more than 25 years is set to expand its footprint by more than doubling its floorspace at the busy Retail Centre on Earl Haig Road.

Moving just a few metres from its current 3,500 sq ft unit, Farmfoods will become a large 7,700 sq ft retail destination supplying thousands of workers on the estate and local residents living nearby with groceries and frozen foods.

Originally opened on Hillington Park in 1994, Farmfoods is the longest established outlet at the Retail Centre and operates more than 300 stores and four distribution centres across the country.

Grant Edmondson, Hillington Park Commercial Director said: “This is a major boost to the growing range of amenities at Hillington Park. Farmfoods is a well-known brand and this expansion demonstrates how popular this store is with people working here as well as drawing visitors from further afield.

“The Retail Centre is a hub for the estate and as well as Farmfoods we have a number of hot and cold food offerings including Subway, Bocadillo and Greggs plus popular amenities such as a post office, nursery and even a bookmakers. The new Starbucks drive-thru which is scheduled to open in Autumn 2020 will be welcomed by those who work here and those who visit the many hundreds of businesses based here.

“Frasers Property, owners of Hillington Park, strive to make the experience of visiting and working at its business estates a positive one and having a good range of amenities is an important part of that so we’ll be continuing to explore other opportunities to bring further high-quality operators to the estate.”

Specialist retail agent Reith Lambert acted for Frasers Property UK and EYCO acted for Farmfoods.
