Contract sets Benchmark for expansion
A specialist contract packing and storage business on Hillington Park is celebrating winning a major new contract just a short time after extending its warehouse facilities to almost 250,000 sqft.

Established in 1993, Benchmark Warehousing secured the new deal with international drinks business Beam Suntory as the company added a further 66,000 sqft of secure storage to its expanding business. The company is part of the international Gordon Leslie Group.

Craig Leslie, managing director of Benchmark Warehousing said: “This is a very exciting time for the business. Our plan for significantly extending the warehouse was to grow the business and that has happened far sooner than we expected. For a logistics and specialist storage & packing business the location at Hillington is perfect as we are just minutes from the main road network and an international airport.

“Our main business is already with the drinks industry, being a bonded warehouse, but that sector is growing strongly so we are keen to build on our current expertise and resources and grow even further.”

Grant Edmondson, commercial director at Hillington Park added: “Craig and his team are experts in their field and when they looked to expand their business into an adjacent building we were keen to offer a competitive solution. Benchmark Warehousing is a really impressive business and a great example of a company that has grown here on Hillington Park over the last decade.”

Gordon Leslie Group purchased the Benchmark Warehousing business in 2014 and the combined size of both businesses is in the region of 330,000 sqft making it the largest warehouse operator at Hillington Park.
