Hillington Park is teaming up with University of the West of Scotland and Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce to bring the University’s very first ‘Pop-up Campus’ to the Park.

The University is taking its expertise to businesses across the West of Scotland via a series of events to outline the advantages of forming long-term relationships between local businesses and the institution.

At the pop up events, companies will have the chance to speak to the University’s critically acclaimed academics and business development team about opportunities to collaborate with the University of the West of Scotland.

The debut ‘pop-up’ will be held on Tuesday, 4th February at 8.30am at the Hillington Park Innovation Centre. The University will be joined by representatives from the Park, Renfrewshire Council, Scottish Enterprise and the Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce.

The event will be co-hosted by Quality Management expert Michele Cano, who will be accompanied by industry colleagues from across the West of Scotland. The University’s business development team will provide practical advice for companies looking to strike up a partnership with UWS, and will be explaining how companies including the Scottish Leather Group and Carrick Packaging, are already benefitting from a relationship with the University.

Also on hand will be Bob Davidson, Chief Executive of Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce, who will share his views on why business matters in Renfrewshire and how you can tap into the Chamber’s services.

Jamie Cumming, Commercial Director, Hillington Park said: “Forging long-term relationships with the wider Renfrewshire community is important to Hillington Park as we recognise the need and benefits of working together. We are pleased to host the first event of the University of the West of Scotland’s new Pop-Up Campus initiative and we hope many businesses on the Park will take advantage of this event to learn more about how linking up with our local University can develop their venture.”
