Perfect fit for expansion
An international infrastructure solutions provider has opened its second Scottish office at Merlin Business Centre as it grows across the UK.

Omexom UK & RoI, which provides solutions for substation and overhead line construction and refurbishment projects, was recently awarded the design and construction of the Knocknagael project near Inverness.

Simon Innis from Omexom UK & RoI said: “As our business expands we need to be in locations that allow us to provide the best service we can to our customers and staff and Hillington Park fitted perfectly for us. The team at Merlin Business Centre will focus on developing our Renewables UK business.”

Omexom provides generation, transmission, distribution and substations solutions for substation and overhead line construction and refurbishment projects for Distribution Network Operators (DNO), Transmission System Operators (TSO), Wind Farm Developers, Solar PV Farm Developers and Private Network Operators.

Omexom, which has its head office in Belfast, was formed in 2005 and was formerly called Powerteam before its acquisition by the Vinci Group. The group employs 12,000 staff across the world.

Nicolle McKibben from Merlin Business Centre said: “Omexom is a large company that has identified the benefits of Merlin Business Centre being located next to the motorway network and a short drive from Glasgow International Airport.”
